Announcer's Module
To access the announcer&[Unknown function 039;s]module, check Use Announcer&[Unknown function 039;s]Module under MeOS Features on the page Competition. To monitor the classes, you can use one or more windows. When you open the Announcer&[Unknown function 039;s]module the first time, you can select which classes you want to monitor directly in the main window. This may be suitable for a small event.
However, if you want to monitor many classes at the same time, it may be better to open several windows that you can move and arrange over one or more screens. Select Create New Window instead of Save and the current settings are applied in a newly opened window instead. This lets you quickly produce several windows with similar settings but different classes etc. Note that the radio controls can be named on the page Controls.
For the class and control selection you have made, you can choose to display a results list for each control or finish, a total results list with all radio times collected, or the events views that reports interesting results chronologically and in plain text, etc. This view is particularly useful if few people are going to monitor many classes (see the Class View and the Event View, respectively).
Optimize the Display Area
To save display area, you can choose to only show the initial in the first name (use initial in name) and you can limit the number of results per class to only show the top results. In new windows you have opened, you can also use the padlock button to lock the view and remove extra information and settings buttons (the information moves to the window title).Functions
- The commands + and – increases or decreases, respectively, the text size.
- Settings allows you to change the basic settings of the window.
- Prioritization lets you preselect and prioritize competitors to monitor in advance for the event view, see Prioritizing Competitors.
- New Window opens a new window for speaker support, which can be useful for monitoring multiple classes in parallel and especially if the computer has multiple monitors.
- Restore Windows restores previously saved window and class settings for the current computer. If you manually create multiple windows, this button is replaced by the Save button, which instead saves the current settings.
- Manual Times lets you enter times manually, see Entering Times Manually.
- Punches shows a table with all punches, see Editing Punches.
- Report Mode shows a detailed report for a selected participant, see the Detailed Runner Report.
- Timekeeping live shows a special view intended for large screens where two or more participants who start at the same time compete against each other with rolling timing. Preferably used for very short races such as maze orienteering, see Live Results – Stopwatch.
