Testing MeOS
Computers and networks should be tested and you should check that MeOS is working as you expect if you are using a competition format that has special features (such as special rules for calculating results or rules for teams and substitutions).Automatic simulation of card readout and radio times
To facilitate testing, Punching test is available on the page Services. If you have the race set up with courses and start times, you can use it to submit simulated card readouts at a certain interval. You can launch multiple instances of the service or run it on multiple computers if you want to increase the flow and stress the network. It is also possible to generate radio punches for a certain control.
The service also has a function to create a test competition with a certain number of participants and classes. If you want to use such a competition in a network, you must first create it locally and then upload it to the server as usual.
Manual simulation of plate reading and radio times
On the page SportIdent, you can select the port Testing port and then Activate. A panel will then appear where you can enter the data to be included in a card readout: check, start, finish, number of control punches and their numbers. The times for the controls are distributed by MeOS between start and finish. Press Save to simulate a real card readout. This function allows you to simulate different results in a controlled way.
Hint
If you enter a tag used in the competition, the stamp codes will be set to match the tag, and any start time will be adjusted. You must ensure that you have a sufficient control codes.
