Runner Database
The runner database consists of a list with runners and one list with clubs. You install the database from some external source. If your country has Eventor, you can get the database automatically, see Eventor Connection. To install a database, it must be in the IOF-XML format (version 2.0.4 or 3.0). The installed database is automatically updated from the competitions you organize; MeOS learns who runs with which card, to automatically make a guess next time.
Hint
If your event does not use the normal clubs you should disable Use runner database on the the page Competition. The effect is the same as if your runner database was empty.
To import a database, click Runner Database and then Import on the page Competition. You can provide a file with clubs and a file with runners. Optionally, you can choose to Clear databases, which means that the current databases are emptied before the import.

MeOS Insight
If you are using a network connection, all computers connected to the network will automatically use the same database, which is the one on the computer that uploaded the competition to the server (each server competition has its own database). It is possible to update the server database by importing the database when you have opened the competition on the server, see Using MeOS in a Network.
The tables Persons and Clubs shows the current databases as tables. You can click + on a person to enter that person into the current competition. For a person already in the competition, you see the class instead of a +.
